The Fate of TV Shows: Is Your Favorite Getting Canceled?

When it first premiered, the sitcom “Black-ish” looked like just another sitcom. However, its focus on Black culture and the presence of small-screen greats such as Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross helped to turn “Black-ish” into a bonafide success. The sitcom ended in 2022 and even gave way to two spin-offs: “Grown-ish” and “Mixed-ish.”
While “Grown-ish,” starring the “Black-ish” teenage daughter ‘Zoey Johnson’ (portrayed by the beautiful Yara Shahidi), has been on the air for five seasons (and counting), Tika Sumpter’s “Mixed-ish” failed to live past its second season. Its premature ending was presumably caused by the fact “Mixed-ish” didn’t perform very well among “Black-ish” fans.
