David Jason Muir anchors “ABC World News Tonight” and the network’s popular magazine show “20/20.” He was previously the network’s substitute anchor for “ABC’s World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer” before subsequently taking over the show in 2014. His career took speed while working at WTVH as a reporter and anchor from 1994 to 2000.
Muir then worked at WCVB for three years before settling at ABC News in 2003. In 2021, he took over George Stephanopoulos’s duties as the lead anchor of special events and breaking news coverage. He is worth $20M and takes home a reported $5M each year.
