Joan Plowright – Age 93

Retired English actress Joan Plowright has had a long career in theatre and television for six glorious decades. She had already gained international recognition for her performances in films such as “The Chairs,” “The Rural Wife,” and “the Lessons” by the tender age of 17, proving her phenomenal acting range.

But Plowright’s career really took off after the 1989 death of her husband, Laurence Olivier, and she continued making film and television appearances for the next decade. She announced her retirement in 2014 and has been out of the spotlight since then. However, in 2018 she did produce a play titled “Nothing Like a Dame.”
