David Matthew Macfadyen is an actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. His breakthrough came when he appeared in “Wuthering Heights.” His work in the HBO television series “Succession” fetched him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He also won a British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Macfadyen met his wife, Keeley Hawes, in 2002 when they were both co-stars in the series “Spooks,” and he says she is the love of his life. They both got married in 2004, and they have two children. He is the stepfather to Hawes’ son from a previous relationship.
