The Sunburn Hall of Shame! Top Tanning Fails That’ll Have You Seeing Red

Abstract Art

This man’s back is a canvas of sunburn, a patchwork of red hues that could pass for modern art if it weren’t for the sting. The culprit is a roll-on sunscreen stick, which, unbeknownst to his well-intentioned mother, wasn’t quite up to the task of covering broad areas.

Sunscreen sticks are great for precision application on small spots, but for larger expanses, they require a generous hand and a good deal of blending. His back is less a testimony to the effectiveness of the stick and more to the abstract expressionism that results from hasty, uneven application. Let this be a lesson that with sunscreen, sometimes more is more.
