Daisy rolled down the car window, awaiting a response from within the house. It seemed to be the cue the dog had been waiting for. He jumped over her lap in a flash and bolted out of the window, leaving Daisy too stunned to react. Perhaps it felt it needed to do something.
John could only watch as the dog paused, then charged towards the dilapidated house at breakneck speed. Despite his efforts to stop the Labrador, their new furry friend veered around him and darted towards the side of the building, leaping through a broken window with astonishing agility.
