Lud Wid considers herself a nice person. That is at least according to her post, where she said she said that if she was nice enough send the evicted roommate’s stuff to her parents, that she most definitely has given her notice. However, it wasn’t much of a notice period when you consider it.
Depending on the state you’re in, the legal notice period can be anything from three days to 30 days. At this time, the tenant can either pay the rent or find new accommodation. Maybe the two housemates thought they could bend this rule since the evicted roommate was already three months late.
