Found a hairstyle you love? Well, take a page out of Asha Mandela’s playbook and commit to it 100%! It certainly worked out for the modern-day Rapunzel, who earned the Guinness Record for the Word’s Longest Dreadlocks. Measured in 2008, her dreaded tresses were found to be over 19 feet long.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Mandela began growing out her locks when she moved to New York. After 25 years of growing together, she considered the tresses a part of her and refused to cut them. As of 2020, Mandela is still rocking her dreads, which have grown to measure 21 feet.
