Stairway to Heaven — Oahu
Named after an iconic Led Zeppelin song, Oahu’s Stairway to Heaven is one of Hawaii’s most infamous tourist attractions. With nearly 4,000 deadly steps, this gigantic ladder has been at the origin of some major accidents and controversies over the years.
Considered to be far too dangerous, Stairway to Heaven has been closed to the public, and recent reports claim it could be removed altogether by 2022. The sunrise from up here must be beautiful, but it would take some courage (and craziness) to get all the way up.
