With smartphone-wielding photographers everywhere, the internet has scores of perfectly-timed photos. The hilarious optical illusion captured by this image should get a good chuckle out of anyone who appreciates life’s funny coincidences. It looks like a staged picture taken just when a tiny fountain sent out jets of water into the Grand Bassin (circular pond).
The background is even more captivating, with the photo taken at the Tuileries Garden in Paris. Located between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre, Catherine de Medici commissioned the garden in 1564. It functioned as a private space attached to the Tuileries Palace but eventually opened to the public in 1667.
