Even when pursuing Business Administration at the University of Southern California, Tom Selleck always had that distinctively masculine personality. So no wonder that was when a drama coach suggested he try acting. Selleck subsequently dropped out in his senior year, and that was probably the best decision of his life.
He soon started appearing in T.V. shows and commercials. However, his breakthrough came over a decade later when he played Thomas Magnum in the soap opera “Magnum, P.I.” that started airing in 1980. He has since made many notable appearances and played lead roles in acclaimed titles such as “Blue Bloods” and “Three Men and a Baby.”
