Queen Elizabeth II was born in 1926 to King George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. Queen Elizabeth or The Queen Mother, as she was dubbed, married Albert Frederick Arthur George (George VI) in 1923, and gave birth to two kids, Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon.
Elizabeth II was educated at home and began her royal duties during WWII when she served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. She ascended to the throne after her father died in 1952.
