Jimmy Carter & Rosalynn Carter – Married For 75 Years
Marrying young was a common practice several decades ago, which is why Jimmy Carter took Rosalynn Carter’s hand in marriage when she was just shy of turning 19. Well, it would’ve been worth it even if they had faced any obstacles because they are now closing in on 75 years of marriage.
Rosalynn reportedly had feelings first during Carter’s time at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Carter and Rosalynn kept the media busy during 1977 and 1981 when they were the 39th President and First Lady of the United States, respectively. Now in their 90s, the Carters have lived long enough to see over a dozen great-grandchildren.
