Sam Retford – Cory Wilson, Ackley Bridge
The British actor Sam Retford was actually born in Australia but relocated to Crewe, England, at a young age. He got his breakthrough role in 2014, with the mini-series Tom’s Life, and landed his best-known part in 2017, when he was given a chance to portray Cory Wilson in the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge.
Retford played Wilson for roughly two years before joining other acting projects, such as the 2021 TV series Death in Paradise. This year, he’s also started another exciting chapter of his acting journey, as he was cast to play Curtis Delamare in Coronation Street.
