Gillian Taylforth – Kathy Beale, EastEnders
Gillian Taylforth has played long-time Albert Square resident Kathy Beale on and off since 1985. Her original run on the soap is her most eventful, though, as she got a string of dramatic storylines before leaving in the late ‘90s.
That said, it was only right to make her permanent comeback in 2015 when it was revealed that she faked her own death in a car crash. During her time away from the show, Taylforth kept herself busy with a long list of projects, including a starring role in the series Footballers’ Wives.
