Cherylee Houston – Izzy Armstrong, Coronation Street
Eleven years, 751 episodes: that’s how long the British actress Cherylee Houston has been dedicated to playing the character of Izzy Armstrong, which she landed in 2010. A Lancashire native, Houston started her acting career in 2001, and it didn’t take her long to find success. She made her on-screen debut with Doctors and, by 2006, she was one of the stars of the series I’m With Stupid.
Busy playing Izzy, Houston has been fully focused on Coronation Street for the last 11 years and even made it to the Coronation Street spin-off movies Coronation Street: Tram Crash and Coronation Street Extra: Gary’s Army Diaries.
