Gary Lucy – Luke Morgan, Hollyoaks
In contrast with the complicated Mercedes, Luke Morgan, portrayed by Gary Lucy, is an absolute ray of sunshine in the village. No wonder the now-39-year-old actor had no problems reprising his role in 2017 after his original stint as a teen from 1999 to 2002.
Lucy spent his time away from Hollyoaks well, though. He scored himself recurring roles in other popular TV shows like The Bill and EastEnders. We’ve even seen him don a pair of skating shoes when he competed on Dancing on Ice not once but twice.
Susan Tully – Michelle Fowler, EastEnders
Actors often venture into other areas of entertainment once they’ve established themselves in the industry. Susan Tully, who’s best known for her role as the single mother Michelle Fowler on EastEnders, followed this career track. After spending a decade on the BBC One soap, she made the shift to directing.
Tully’s work behind the camera includes a long list of episodes for other British TV shows. She even got to call the shots in about 12 installments of EastEnders in the late ‘90s. Now in her 50s, the London native is still working. Her latest credits including directing for the crime drama C.B. Strike.
