Dawn Acton – Tracy Barlow, Coronation Street
Some actors play the same character for decades, while some characters are played by various actors over the years. Tracy Barlow, Coronation Street’s resident wayward daughter, belongs in the latter category. Dawn Acton portrayed the character throughout the late ‘80s and the ‘90s.
Despite her time on the show, Acton failed to get cast as Tracy once again when she vied for the role in 2003. Things turned out alright for her, though. She’s shifted to a career in DJing and has reportedly become quite popular in Manchester. Acton also dedicates her time volunteering for a charity called Beanstalk.
