Denise Black – Denise Osbourne, Coronation Street
Denise Black is quite the soap veteran, having starred in not one but two roles in major British soaps. Her first role was in 1992 in Coronation Street. There she played Denise Osbourne, who, thanks to her affair with the character Ken Barlow, was referred to as “Ken’s bit on the side” by other characters.
In 1997, she left Coronation Street and joined Emmerdale in 2013. She played Joanie Wright, and they ended her initial time in the role in November 2013, but in 2015 she became a permanent cast member until she left permanently in 2017. She is set to star in a 2021 film called The Lady of Heaven.
