Samia Longchambon – Maria Connor, Coronation Street
Unlike many of those who feature around her in this story, Samia Longchambon is actually still on the soap she stars in. She started playing Maria Connor in 2000 in Coronation Street and is now in the role for two decades, give or take a few months of maternity leave.
While Maria is her full-time job at the moment, she has featured in other shows. These include competition shows like Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes and an episode of the sketch show Bo’ Selecta! where she performed a Coronation street sketch. She was recently featured in an episode of the popular show Dancing On Ice.
