The Busboys Also Had Their Fun
Even in a place where anything goes, it’s important that someone keeps the place running and organized. But that doesn’t mean that Studio 54 staff including this bare-chested busboy can’t partake in the club’s legendary parties. In fact, art-student-turned-busboy Lenny Miestrom notably went beyond his job description.
Wanting to entertain patrons instead of sweeping floors, he began partying with Studio 54’s biggest patrons from Andy Warhol to the drag queen Divine. He even earned the moniker Lenny 54. This party lifestyle came at a price though and he was soon battling substance abuse. He eventually cleaned up his act and was aspiring to be a photographer last we heard.
