Hasse Saw Some Things That Night
Hasse Persson was not just a sharpshooter with a firearm. He was also a good shot when armed with a camera. And he made sure to capture the anything-goes culture of Studio 54 from unclothed dancers to drunken patrons. This night though it seems like he’s seen some things that shocked him more than usual.
The good news is that over three decades since Studio 54 shut its doors, Persson has finally published the photographs he took of the legendary parties that went on there. Released in 2015, the book offers former patrons a chance to reminisce the good old days and the younger generation to see just what they missed.
