Meghan believes that part of her early struggles in the film industry was down to her mixed-race heritage. She has claimed that she has been denied parts because she was either not black enough for African American roles and not white enough for caucasian roles.
But in spite of these challenges, she didn’t try to change anything about herself, and instead embraced her heritage and stuck to her guns, until a suitable role came around. That eventually happened with her part in Suits. At least she got to experience that success before giving it all up to marry Harry.
