Where Does The Floor Lead?
Gothic chapels are absolutely mindblowing. Their intricate architecture, with unique statues and paintings of amazing detail, manage to make everyone’s jaw drop. They’re also immense, and they sometimes confuse you when it comes to the space around you. Most of them date back to the 15th and 16th centuries, preserving their beauty over the years.
This chapel, though, has some pretty trippy floors. The marble floor is actually made so that it looks as if it’s going downwards, leading to a different level. Doesn’t it look a bit like moving sand? Well, it’s nothing but an illusion.
