Out Of The Closet: Celebrities You May Or May Not Have Known Are Gay
Despite the changing landscape and perspective of the world, the LGBTQ community is still under extreme duress. Many public members of this community are still living in secret, afraid to come out in fear of a backlash at the hands of family and friends.
But trust celebrities to come in and save the day with their high profiles and willingness to share their orientation. That’s right, if you didn’t already know, there are tons of gay and bis*xual celebrities, and many of them have come out to make it easier for the regular person to do the same. From Don Lemon to Zachary Quinto, here are some inspirational gay celebrities.
Kate McKinnon & Jackie Abbott
In 2020, while presenting a Golden Globe award to Ellen DeGeneres, Kate McKinnon heaped praise and thanks on the talk show host. She was particularly thankful to the gay icon for making it easier to come out as gay herself.
McKinnon, who found fame on Saturday Night Live as well as films like the Ghostbusters reboot and 2019 drama Bombshell, has been in a few gay relationships. Her most recent one is with actress and artist Jackie Abbott, who she has been dating since 2017 and who accompanied her to the 2020 Golden Globes. She will play big cat activist Carole Baskin in a TV show called Joe Exotic.
