Out Of The Closet: Celebrities You May Or May Not Have Known Are Gay
Despite the changing landscape and perspective of the world, the LGBTQ community is still under extreme duress. Many public members of this community are still living in secret, afraid to come out in fear of a backlash at the hands of family and friends.
But trust celebrities to come in and save the day with their high profiles and willingness to share their orientation. That’s right, if you didn’t already know, there are tons of gay and bis*xual celebrities, and many of them have come out to make it easier for the regular person to do the same. From Don Lemon to Zachary Quinto, here are some inspirational gay celebrities.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Justin Mikita
American actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson instantly liked Justin Mikita when they met in a gym. But, while they met over drinks shortly after, it wasn’t simply an outing between new friends. Fate has an odd way of bringing people together. Because by the time they met almost a year later, Mikita was single.
In 2012, they teamed up to start the “Tie the Knot,” a nonprofit for LGBTQ advocacy. Interestingly, this adorable couple tied the knot the following year in Manhattan. In 2021, we got to see both Mikita and Ferguson on an episode of CBS’ “Secret Celebrity Renovation.”
