Due to her morals and principles, country superstar Chely Wright was against all-female relations at one point in her life. This, despite her being in relationships with women since the age of 19. Wright even had a long term relationship with an unnamed woman while both were in a heteros*xual relationship.
But after having a change of heart, she came out to her family. Eventually, People magazine reported about her coming out. Wright became one of the first country artists to come out and hoped her announcement would help other gay people cope with the pressures. In 2011 she married LGBTQI rights activist Lauren Blitzer.
