Just as KFMB news anchors Nichelle Medina and Eric Kahnert were reporting on a new addition to the San Diego Zoo, a bird came flying in to gatecrash their segment. Imagine their surprise when the guest turned out to be the scarlet ibis that had just been added to the enclosure.
Medina proved to be a true professional, though, because she didn’t so much as flinch when the bird landed on her head. But Kahnert was not as receptive when it became his turn to say hello. The exotic winged creature eventually made its way out, leaving the anchors to finish up their segment.
