Tracing The Missing Man
That’s when it dawned on him. In the picture, the photobombing hiker might be the lost man, Matthew Matheny, who he saw in the news. So, he immediately traced the coordinates of their group and the “gray dot” using Google Earth. Soon, he was informing the local sheriff.
The Cowlitz County Sheriff, later on, confirmed that it was the photo from Art and cell data that led them to Matheny’s location. The rescued hiker was found safe and was airlifted the way to the hospital. Unfortunately, the mysterious photo taken at Dundas Peak doesn’t seem to lead to this kind of happy ending.
