This rabbit appears to be completely unaware of its dangers, and we feel terrible on its behalf. The mountain lion is relatively sure he’s secured a lovely feast for the evening. One of the hunting techniques used by cougars is to walk gracefully yet quietly to catch their prey off guard, and it appears that this unlucky rabbit happens to be the next target.
He’s teasing the lion or didn’t see it coming, which we’re sure will get him into trouble because it’s difficult to see how he can evade such a skilled predator.
