Roger Staubach, a former professional football star, gained fame during his 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Despite his selection in the 1964 Draft, Staubach didn’t play football professionally until 1969, after completing his military commitment. He quickly became the Cowboys’ starting quarterback, leading them to ten consecutive victories and their first Super Bowl win in 1972.
Staubach retired in 1979 due to concerns over his health. Afterward, he founded a company that became a successful commercial real estate business and sold for $613 million in 2008. He is now worth a staggering $600 million and even jointly owns a NASCAR team he bought in 2006.
