Unlike the other names on this list, Richard Branson has little to do with the TV industry. However, to most of us, he’s best known as a British billionaire and the founder of the Virgin group of companies. These include 400 companies operating in media, travel, aerospace research, telecommunication, and more.
While it all started with a chain of record stores, he formed his own airline company in only a bit over a decade, widely known as Virgin Atlantic. To date, the airline contributes to much of Branson’s revenue, which is why his finances took a hit during the 2020 lockdowns.
