William Roache – 90
Born in the ’30s, English actor William Roache is well known for his role as Ken Barlow in the British soap opera “Coronation Street.” He has appeared on the show since its inception in 1960 and is the world’s longest-serving television actor in a continuous role, as listed in the Guinness World Records.
Roache has been active in the movie industry for over six decades and was awarded the British Soap Awards Lifetime Achievement Award for his portrayal of Ken Barlow. Recently, in 2022, he was honored as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the New Year Honours for his contributions to drama and charity.
