Griff Rhys Jones is a comedian, actor, and writer who rose to prominence from hosting sketch comedy shows such as “Not the Nine O’Clock News” and “Alas Smith and Jones” on BBC in the ’80s. He has also worked as a TV presenter in his decorated career.
He was awarded two Laurence Olivier Theatre Awards for his comedic performances in “Charley’s Aunt” and “An Absolute Turkey” while he did numerous other dramas. However, Jones received further fame and success after starting up his production company named “Talkback” along with his partner Mel Smith. The company produced critically acclaimed comedy series such as “Da Ali G Show.”
