There’s a very short list of things that Billy Dee Williams can’t do within the entertainment industry. That’s because over the past six decades he’s achieved immense success as an actor, author, and singer. Willaims’ role as Lando Calrissian in Star Wars gained him recognition and he reprised the role in the movie’s reboot in 2018.
In 1961 Williams released a jazz LP which earned him a spot on the prestigious Motown 25 lineup later in 1983. In 1996 Williams had some misdeeds when he found himself in legal trouble over an assault. The incident was related to his then-girlfriend and the plea deal saw him attend 52 counseling sessions.
