Hollywood Stars You Thought Were Long Gone But Are Still Alive Today
The list of celebrities who have entertained us since the Golden and Silver Age of Hollywood is a long one. Through the decades we’ve unfortunately lost some of these stars. However, they all remain permanent fixtures in showbiz through their extensive collection of works.
Several more are still alive and kicking despite perhaps retreating from public life. Some chose to quit the industry that earned them fame, others switched careers, while several more are still going strong working in showbiz. Here’s a list of some of our favorite celebrities who are still alive and aging gracefully.
Julie Goodyear – 80
Most people who know British actress Julie Goodyear recognize her for her role as Bet Lynch in the long-running soap opera, “Coronation Street.” She appeared on the show from the ’60s to the mid-’90s and then again from 2002 to 2003. Goodyear has received numerous awards and recognition for her work in television and remains one of the most iconic figures in British soap operas.
After “Coronation Street,” Goodyear appeared in several advertisements and became one of the celebs in “Celebrity Fit Club” in 2005. She even became a “Celebrity Big Brother” housemate on the tenth series in 2012, but these days, she’s hardly on TV.
