John Stapleton is a news journalist and broadcaster recognized for presenting the BBC shows “Nationwide” and “Watchdog.” Did you know he never attended university and started working right after high school? However, he has achieved more than many news presenters in the British circuit.
Although he first began his career with local newspapers, it was only a short time before he worked with Daily Sketch, a national tabloid newspaper. Now in his golden years, Stapleton won the Royal Television Society’s News Presenter of the Year award for 2003, majorly for his interviews with high-profile politicians and for covering important global events such as the Iraq War.
