The list of celebrities who have entertained us since the Golden and Silver Age of Hollywood is a long one. Through the decades we’ve unfortunately lost some of these stars. However, they all remain permanent fixtures in showbiz through their extensive collection of works.
Several more are still alive and kicking despite perhaps retreating from public life. Some chose to quit the industry that earned them fame, others switched careers, while several more are still going strong working in showbiz. Here’s a list of some of our favorite celebrities who are still alive and aging gracefully.
Dolly Parton – 76
Dolly Parton is a household name in the country music industry because she worked hard to ensure her relevance. As a result, she’s become such a staple that it’s sometimes difficult to remember that she’s been dishing hit music since the mid-50s.
Parton began performing on local radio and television programs within the East Tennessee area. And today, she’s the owner of 44 career top 10 country albums, 11 Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Association Awards, and many more accolades. But she’s not slowing down. After all, in 2022, Parton’s nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was confirmed.
