Maxwell Q. Klinger was a cross-dressing corporal in the hit CBS sitcom M*A*S*H, and Jamie Farr was the actor behind the character. But he got his start in acting at the age of 11, long before hid big break, after winning two dollars at a contest. He attended the Pasadena Playhouse where he caught the eye of a Goldwyn-Mayer talent scout.
Farr has had a steady flow of work since then and between 2016 and 2018 he promoted classic TV shows including M*A*S*H on MeTV. He is married to Joy Ann Richards and they have two children together. Farr has battled rheumatoid arthritis since the early ’90s.
