Hollywood Stars You Thought Were Long Gone But Are Still Alive Today
Mitzi Gaynor – 90
Francesca Marlene de Czanyi, who goes by the name of Mitzi Gaynor, is famous for appearances in movies like South Pacific and There’s No Business Like Show Business. She ventured into the entertainment industry at a young age and when she turned 13 she joined the Civic Light Opera Company located in Los Angeles.
By the time Gaynor was 17, she had clinched a seven-year deal with 20th Century Fox. In 1967 she headlined her first TV special and her most recent feature was a PBS special aired in 2008. In 2017 she officially made it on the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame that celebrates performers, lyricists, and composers.
