The light wasn’t just on. Ellie could make out some movement through the window. Okay, this was becoming even more scary! Anyone else may have returned to bed, but Ellie was a curious cat. She sneaked out of her room and peeped into her parent’s room. Her mum was alone in bed!
Ellie tiptoed across the hall and down the stairs, heading to the back door. She didn’t want to make the same mistake twice, so she wedged something against the back door so it wouldn’t fall shut. Then she hurried across the yard to the shed.
