Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey – Approx. $150 Million in Divorce Settlement
Neil Diamond is one of the most successful musical artists of all time. And when you’ve sold over 100 million records worldwide, you’re bound to have more than a bit of cash in the bank. Sadly for Diamond, this also meant that he had to part with a hefty sum during his divorce from Marcia Murphey.
She was a TV producer and relatively unknown until her marriage. And though we can describe their time together as the longest that Diamond ever spent married, it ultimately ended after 25 years. And Murphey walked away with about $150 million. In 2022, UMG acquired Diamond’s songwriting catalog and recording rights.
