Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketballer ever to grace the NBA courts. He makes a strong case for any ‘greatest basketballer’ argument with six championship rings to his name. And while he set several records on the court, there’s one record he would be willing to forget.
In 2006, his divorce settlement of $168 million to Juanita Vanoy was the most expensive in history. Jordan and Vanoy tied the knot in 1989. And their decades of seemingly smooth marriage and three children weren’t enough to stay together. However, Forbes’ 2021 estimate of Jordan’s fortune at $1.6 Billion proves that the massive payout to Vanoy didn’t do much financial damage.
