One of the highlights of 2019 was Jeff Bezos and Mackenzie Tuttle announcing their decision to file for a divorce. And with Bezos being the richest man in the world at the time, we were all eager to see how much he would lose after the split.
Now Tuttle certainly got a giant payday when she received a 4% stake in Amazon. But even after chipping away $35.6 billion from Bezos’ net worth, he still had plenty of cash to retain his spot as one of the world’s richest men. In fact, as of March 2022, Forbes and Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index reported that Bezos’ fortune was around $177 billion.
