Susan Dey was only 17, with no prior experience in acting, when she got the role of Laurie Partridge in The Partridge Family. While everything was seemingly going well for her, Dey was fighting a very personal battle behind closed doors.
During the filming of the show, she was suffering from anorexia, which caused her weight to drop dangerously low to 93 pounds. Almost two decades later, in 1993, she admitted in an interview with The Enquirer that she was still struggling with the disorder, although she seems to be doing much better now.
