Jeanne Tripplehorn inherited the love for theatrics from her father, Tom Tripplehorn who was a guitarist and former member of a pop band. After featuring in numerous soap operas and stage shows, she finally made the leap to the big screen with a debut in 1992’s Basic Instinct.
Her most notable appearances include The Firm (1993) co-starring Tom Cruise, Waterworld (1995), Very Bad Things (1998), Sliding Doors (1998), and Big Love. At 57, Tripplehorn is still as lovely as ever, since she is forever mindful of her physical and mental health. She tied the knot in 2000 with husband Leland Orser and the couple share a son August Tripplehorn Orser.
