Maurice Benard’s first TV appearance was in 1987 when he bagged the role of Nico Kelly in All My Children. After playing the part for three years, Benard left the show and went on to play the character of Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. To date, Benard’s been captivating the audience with his portrayal on the show.
Expressing solidarity with people suffering from mental health issues, Benard released a memoir with Susan Black in 2020, wherein he talks openly about several disorders. Maurice is currently 57 years old and is happily married to Paula Smith, the mother of his four kids.
