Kate Breaks Convention
Another time when Kate prioritized her family life over duty was when she broke a 115-year-old tradition. It is customary for female members of the royal family to hand the clover to the Hounslow-based Infantry Battalion on St Patrick’s Day. The practice had been a regular part of the Royal Family’s protocols since 1901 Queen Alexandra first began it.
