Commoner to Duchess: The Story of Kate Middleton’s Rise to the Top

Becoming a Royal Patron

Kate has always been a lover of the arts. She’s even described herself as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, and her enthusiasm shows in the number of official portraits of her kids and many other members of the royal family. Of course, it’s much like a mother taking multiple photos of her children.

But Kate’s interest went beyond that natural instinct. In 2018 she became the first royal patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She’s also the patron of the Royal Photographic Society, a role that allowed her to participate in an exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust.
