50 Celebrities Who Prove That Cheerleading Creates Superstars

The purpose of cheerleaders at sports games is to maintain, create and keep morale high, keep up a positive outlook, and entertain the crowd (when not being entertained by the game). The same could be said for our favorite celebrities, who we often look to for inspiration, advice, and life lessons.

So it almost makes sense that many celebrities were cheerleaders in school, giving them the basic performance skills they need as a foundation for their drama, acting, and stage shows. Here we have some celebrities and one former U.S. president who used cheerleading as a springboard to big careers.

Jessica Alba

According to Jessica Alba, she struggled to make friends because she was a sickly child who spent so much time in the hospital that children didn’t know her well enough to make friends with her. But at least some of that changed by the time she got to high school.

She attended Claremont high school, graduating at 16 years of age. There is no record of her as a cheerleader, but there is a Houston Texans cheerleader named Erika often mistaken for her. But sadly for the Texans, Alba is a Raiders fan, as shown by her sultry photoshoot in a Raider’s bikini. Alba has a film currently in pre-production called Trigger Warning.
